At 5:40 a.m., the man tragically died after he tried to make a left turn from Joeger Road onto Highway 49. He was driving a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis. Traveling eastbound on Joegar Road, the Marquis had just entered the intersection in front of a Ford-150 pickup truck, and was t-boned on the driver’s side of his vehicle by a southbound vehicle. The Ford D-150 pickup truck was being driven by a 43-year-old Grass Valley man, who sustained minor injuries. The Ford D-150 impacted the driver’s side of the Mercury, and then the Ford was consecutively hit from behind by a Toyota Rav 4, which was driven by a Grass Valley girl, 16-yeas-old. The collision of the Mercury and truck blocked off the northbound lanes of Highway 49 for several hours after the incident.
“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends affected by this tragic accident,” said the attorneys from HWG Law. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
