Ashley Alcatraz is killed in fatal dui car crash

RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (April 8, 2018) – At 5:35 p.m., Ashley Alcatraz was killed in a fatal multi-vehicle crash that happened on Sunday evening. (map)

Ashley Alcatraz, 27- years-old, was driving in her 2016 Honda Civic on Winchester Road and Benton Road and was making a left turn on a green light. Elvis Eugene Tate, 59-years-old was driving in a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant and ran past a red light and continued north on Winchester Road, striking and instantly killing Alcatraz. Her passenger, Anthony L. Lewis, sustained several injuries. The Mitsubishi and Honda continued to swerve out of control after the initial impact and crashed into a 2017 Fiat and 2000 Toyota Tacoma.

There were a total of four vehicles involved in this deadly crash. Medical crews attempted to revived Alcatraz when they arrived on the scene but unfortunately were unsuccessful. A total of four people suffered injuries that they all received treatment for. The crash started a fire and a total of 20 firefighters came to put it out. Officials arrested a 59-year-old Winchester man, Tate, who was suspected of murder and driving under the influence.
