“Semi vs. Vehicle Fatality”
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (August 22, 2017) – Four people were died in a semi truck collision on Rosedale Highway and Nord Avenue Tuesday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. when a vehicle traveling northbound on Nord Avenue failed to stop at a stop sign and collided into a semi. The impact caused the vehicle to be pinned underneath the semi.
The occupants of the vehicle, two men and two women, were killed as a result of the collision.
The driver of the semi did not appear to sustain any injuries from the collision.
An investigation is ongoing to determine if drugs ad alcohol were factors in to the collision.
