BELMONT, CALIFORNIA (October 21, 2017) – A woman riding in a Mercedes was tragically killed on Saturday evening in San Mateo County, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 8:44 pm on the eastbound side of Highway 92 near Interstate Highway 280. A Mercedes was heading west on Highway 92 when it abruptly swerved over the center lines and into eastbound traffic. The Mercedes hit the left sides of a Honda CRV, a Pontiac Grand Prix, and then crashed head on into a Volvo SUV.
The front seat passenger in the Mercedes, a 70 year old woman, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mercedes, identified as 34 year old Arsen Tarkovskiy, was arrested on suspicion of DUI at the scene. The driver of the Volvo sustained minor to moderate injuries, and the drivers of the Honda and the Pontiac were reportedly unhurt. The accident remains under open investigation at this time.
