COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA (March 21, 2018) – A 56-year-old man was injured by a hit-and-run driver at the Bristol and Red Hill intersection Tuesday morning. (map)
At 8:20 a.m., the 56-year-old man was riding a bicycle when he was hit from behind by a black Mercedes-Benz. The bicyclist called the authorities as soon as the incident happened. He sustained a compound ankle fracture and was transported from the scene to a nearby hospital.
The hit-and-run driver was identified as Pratiti Renee Mehta, 33-year-old woman and Costa Mesa resident. She taken into custody after the incident and was arrested her hit-and-run felony.
