12-year-old died in rollover crash
BUELLTON: 12-Year-Old Adolescent Killed in Vehicle Collision on Highway 101 near Highway 154

“Overturned Vehicle Fatality”

BUELLTON, CALIFORNIA (September 10, 2017) – At least one person died in a two-car collision at the intersection of Highways 101 and 154 Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)

The accident occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. A van transporting eight occupants overturned on Highway 101 and Highway 154. A 12-year-old child was ejected from the van, according to Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesman Mike Eliason.

The 12-year-old adolescent was pronounced dead at the scene.

The seven other occupants in the van sustained minor injuries. No other details of the accident were available.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause and liability of the crash
