The hole was located at a construction site at 221 West 29th Street near 7th and 8th Avenues. Around 2:00 pm, a worker at the site reportedly fell into the hole, suffering unknown injuries to his legs.

It took half an hour to get the man out of the hole, and he was then rushed to Bellevue Hospital. The construction site at 221 West 29th Street is reportedly for a 21 story, 95-unit apartment building that is close to being completed. The investigation is still ongoing into the accident.

“I wish a swift recovery for the worker injured in this construction accident,” said a personal injury lawyer.
