SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA (October 26, 2017) – 54 year old David Lee Macmillian was identified as the bicyclist that was hit by a car and killed on Main Street near Columbine Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 6:45 pm on Main Street, near West Columbine Avenue. David Macmillian attempted to cross traffic on Main Street when he was struck by a 2005 yellow Chevrolet Corvette heading northbound.
David Lee Macmillian was rushed to a local hospital, but was tragically pronounced dead a short time later. The driver that struck Macmillian remained at the scene and is cooperating with the authorities. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
