Two Passengers Killed in Dinuba Crash with Truck at Road 64 and Highway 201
DINUBA, CALIFORNIA (June 23, 2017)– A man, 22, and a three-year-old toddler were tragically killed in a crash at Road 64 and Highway 201 when they were riding as passengers in a Nissan driven by Monica Escamilla, 23.
Escamilla pulled up to a stop sign at the intersection of Road 64 and Highway 201 and accelerated out from the stop sign, crashing into the path a GMC truck driven by Cipriano Munoz, 49.
Munoz attempted to slam on his brakes, but the front of his truck broadsided Escamilla’s Nissan. The Nissan in turn crashed into a power pole, Fatally injuring its two passengers who tragically died at the scene.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
