Douglas Mescher, 30, Killed in Industrial Accident in Franklin

“Industrial Fatality”

FRANKLIN, OHIO (August 22, 2017) – 30-year-old Douglas Mesche died in an engineering an manufacturing company Tuesday, according to the Warren County Coroner’s Office.

The accident occurred at approximately before 12:00 p.m. when a piece of heavy equipment fell on Mescher who was a subcontractor at Walther Engineering and Manufacturing Company in Franklin, according to the Warren County Coroner’s Office investigator.

Police officials were called to the facility located at 3500 block of Shotwell Road in Franklin around 12:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Walther Engineering and Manufacturing Company has several violations due to workplace safety in 2010. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was on the scene for the purpose of investigating the accident.
