ARLINGTON, WASHINGTON (October 31, 2017) – Ernest Stark has been identified as the pilot that was killed after a helicopter crash on October 24th, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened on Tuesday at King Lake near Arlington. Ernest Stark had taken off in his Robinson R-22 helicopter along with a passenger. Shortly after takeoff the helicopter crashed into King Lake, submerging quickly. A neighbor at the lake jumped in their boat and was able to pull Ernest from the water, and the passenger swam to shore.
Ernest Stark was tragically pronounced dead a short time later as a result of the accident. His passenger sustained serious injuries and his current condition is unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
