EVANS, GEORGIA (January 5, 2017) – A construction worker at the Riverwood Plantation subdivision was killed in an accident on Thursday, according to a local news sources. (map)
The man has been identified as Joshua Shane Price, a 25 year old from Augusta. Joshua Price was working in a trench on Winterton Street in the Riverwood Plantation subdivision when one side of the trench collapsed and filled with dirt, causing Price to suffocate.
Joshua Shane Price was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. The accident remains under investigation by local authorities as they attempt to determine cause and liability, and an autopsy is supposed to be performed at the GBI crime lab in Atlanta.
