“Drunk driver arrested”
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA (January 31, 2017) – According to the California Highway Patrol, 59-year-old Andres Mendoza was killed on Tuesday in a DUI collision on Jensen Avenue and Chateau Avenue. (map)
CHP Lieutenant Joe Gomez reported that a Chevrolet Avalanche pickup, driven by 31-year-old Jose Antonio Montano, crashed head-on into a Honda Accord, driven by Mendoza, around 4:40 a.m.
Lieutenant Gomez stated that that impact of the collision killed Mendoza. Montano was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, felony DUI, and felony DUI with a blood-alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent.
