HOUSTON: National Guard Helicopter Crashes, Killing Two near Bayport Cruise Terminal

HOUSTON, TEXAS (December 28, 2016) – An Army National Guard Helicopter crashed near Houston on Wednesday, causing two fatalities according to a local news source. (map)

The helicopter, carrying two crew members, was part of the Army National Guard’s 36th Combat Aviation Brigade and was flying a training mission from Ellington Field. A round 3:50 pm, the helicopter crashed near the Bayport Cruise Terminal in Pasadena.

The two crew members aboard the helicopter were both sadly pronounced dead. Witnesses say they saw the helicopter break apart in midair, and the investigation into the fatal accident is ongoing at this time.
