“Big-Rig Fatality”
HURON, CALIFORNIA (August 28, 2017) – A tomato truck and sedan were involved in a fatal collision on Butte Avenue just north of Gale Avenue Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident was reported at approximately 7:50 a.m. when the driver of a white 4 door sedan and a tomato truck collided. The sedan was found smashed underneath the semi truck.
The driver of the sedan was trapped inside the vehicle and unresponsive, according to the CHP report.
Cal Fire was called to the scene. Extrication methods were used to free the driver of the white sedan.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause and liability of the accident.
