The accident, which happened around 4:30 am between Terminals A and B, was reportedly just two weeks before 30 year old Jose Gomez would have celebrated his 31st birthday. Jose was operating a forklift at the renovation construction site when the machine reportedly rolled over onto him for an unknown reason.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but Jose Manuel Gomez was tragically pronounced dead. He left behind a large family, including his wife Erica. The California Occupational Safety and Health Administration was on site investigating the accident to determine what happened. The Gomez family has sent up a fundraiser on GoFundMe.
“We have no words to comfort the family and friends of Jose Gomez, who lost a bright light after Monday’s accident,” said the attorneys from HWG Law. “We hope they are able to find some peace and answers after this awful tragedy.”
