The accident happened around 11:30 am on Friday, near the Seminole-Volusia county line. A KingAir plane en route to Orlando Sanford International Airport crashed into Lake Harney for an unknown reason.

The pilot, 56 year old Kamalesh Naik from Sanford, was tragically killed in the accident. Also on board were passengers Men Tao and Hou Zupeng, both Chinese nationals who were studying to get their pilot’s license, and both were sadly killed as well. The crash remains under investigation, and authorities are still attempting to locate the plane’s wreckage in the lake.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends affected by this tragic accident,” said the attorneys from HWG Law. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all those involved.”
