The accident happened on Sunday evening. A small, homemade aircraft identified as a Titan Tornado II, took off from the Shalersville airport, with the pilot intending only a short flight before returning. The plane crashed just after takeoff at the end of the runway, landing on the rear deck of a home located at 7979 Nicodemus Road.

The pilot, who remains unidentified, was tragically killed as a result of the accident. The accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability. The plane was painted bright orange, with green and red accents. There have been many incidents regarding Titan Tornado’s, and the planes have a startling fatality rate of almost 50%. HWG Law is still investigating this accident, and will update this article as we find more information.
