WILDOMAR, CALIFORNIA (November 1, 2017) – 28 year old Kyle Crull was killed in a tragic accident on Interstate 15 on October 20th, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 11:35 pm on the southbound side of Interstate 15 near the Temecula Parkway off-ramp. 28 year old Kyle Crull, a tow truck driver working as a subcontractor for AAA, was responding to a call for help from a disabled motorist. He pulled over to the shoulder and parked in front of the disabled vehicle, before exiting his tow truck to begin hooking up the car.
Meanwhile 19 year old Danika L. McGetrick was exiting the freeway on Temecula Parkway when she veered onto the shoulder, striking the disabled vehicle and then Kyle Crull. The impact threw Kyle up onto his tow truck, and Danika’s car then crashed into the two truck before coming to a stop.
Kyle Crull was rushed to Inland Valley Hospital where he was tragically pronounced dead a short time later. Danika McGetrick was arrested on suspicion of DUI, and the 19 year old was released on bail the same day. Kyle Crull leaves behind a daughter, and a GoFundMe has been started to help with expenses. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
