Kyle P. Stewart Killed in Small Plane Crash near Glasgow

GLASGOW, KENTUCKY (November 12, 2017) – Kyle P. Stewart was identified as the man killed in a plane crash on Sunday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Sunday, November 12th. A small Piper PA-32 was carrying three adults and one juvenile back from a hunting trip in Tennessee. The plane entered a cloudy area and began flying on instruments. The radar track of the aircraft turned erratic before the plane vanished, according to the NTSB.

The wreckage of the plane was found in the woods near Barren County in Kentucky. The plane reportedly struck several treetops before hitting a larger tree and crashing. The debris field spanned almost 500 feet in total.

41 year old Kyle P. Stewart was tragically killed in the crash. Also on board the plane was 40 year old Quinton D. Whitaker, 41 year old Scott T. Foster, and Scott’s 15 year old son Noah Foster. All four were tragically killed as a result of the crash. 15 year old Noah was initially rushed to a hospital, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the hospital.

The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability. On November 7th, two people died in a crash in Tennessee in the same kind of plane, a Piper PA 32. Another was killed in a crash in Argentina on the 11th of October, in the same plane. And in 2016, a total of 5 people were killed in Piper PA 32 crashes. The NTSB remains on site to investigate Sunday’s tragic accident and to determine cause and liability.
