The accident happened around 8:00 am at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Greenwood Avenue. 53 year old Martina Mayorga-Garcia was crossing Washington Boulevard in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a semi truck.
Martina Mayorga-Garcia was tragically pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The semi truck driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities in their ongoing investigation.
