ORO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA (February 11, 2017) – Delmer Sills has been identified as the man killed in a head-on collision on National Trails Highway on Saturday evening, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 5:15 pm on National Trails Highway near Turner Road. Delmer Sills was driving a 2010 Hyundai Tucson south on National Trails Highway when he collided head on for an unknown reason with a 2001 Toyota Camry.
Delmer Sills was extricated from his vehicle and transported to a local hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota was also extricated and flown to a nearby trauma center. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
