OXNARD: Pedestrian Injured in Hit and Run on Ventura Road and 5th Street

“Investigation Ongoing”

OXNARD, CALIFORNIA (February 10, 2017) – A woman was injured in an accident on Friday after she was struck by a car on Ventura Road and 5th Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:25 pm on Friday, at the intersection of South Ventura Road and West 5th Street. A woman was crossing the street when she was struck by an unidentified vehicle, which immediately fled the scene.

The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries after the accident and her current condition is unknown. The accident remains under investigation and at this time there is no description of the suspect vehicle.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from HWG Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
