PALERMO, CALIFORNIA (November 16, 2017) –At least one person sustained major injuries in an accident on Lone Tree Road and Palermo Road on Thursday, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 6:30 am at the intersection of Palermo Road and Lone Tree Road. A 2016 black Hyundai Accent and a Ford F250 flatbed pickup truck collided for an unknown reason, sending the Hyundai off the road and down an embankment where it landed on its roof.
A woman was reportedly trapped inside the overturned vehicle, and emergency medical personnel freed her from the car. She was airlifted from the scene to a nearby hospital, and her current condition is unknown. The accident remains under open investigation at this time.
