“Motorcycle Accident”
PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA (January 13, 2017) – A car and a motorcycle collided on Friday afternoon on the 580 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 5:11 pm at the intersection of the 580 Freeway and Hopyard Road. A blue Toyota Prius and a motorcycle collided for unknown reasons. The crash caused blockage of the middle two lanes of the freeway.
Responding emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and found the rider on the shoulder with moderate injuries, including allegedly a broken wrist. The motorcyclist was hospitalized and the investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
