PORTLAND, OREGON (July 24, 2017) – A 23-year-old pedestrian was involved in a collision with a street sweeper on southbound interstate 205 near SE Foster Road early Monday morning, according to the Portland Police Department. (map)
Police officials responded to fatal collision at approximately 2:52 a.m. Upon a arrival, police found the pedestrian that was hit by the delivery truck. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been released. The driver of the street sweeper remained at the scene and cooperated with police officials.
Police officials rerouted traffic of Interstate 205 at Foster Road to Johnson Creek Boulevard.
