RAMONA, CALIFORNIA (February 12, 2017) – A woman was killed and two men were injured in a small plane crash on Sunday near the Cleveland National Forest, according to a local news source. (map)
A Cessna 172, carrying a 20 year old woman identified as Shaira Noor and two men ages 25 and 28, took off from American Aviation Academy out of Gillespie Field in an instructor student flight. The plane crashed near the Ramona Airport, in a remote area of the Cleveland National Forest.
The 20 year old woman was tragically killed in the accident. The two men were able to climb out of the plane and get help; they suffered only minor injuries. The accident remains under active investigation by the FAA and the NTSB at this time to determine cause and liability.
