REDONDO BEACH: Cyclist Killed in Vehicle Collision near the Intersection of Artesia Boulevard and Felton Lane

“Cyclist Fatality Injured”

REDONDO BEACH, CALIFORNIA (September 4, 2017) – A male cyclist was involved in a vehicle collision near Artesia Boulevard and Felton Lane Monday evening, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department. (map)

The accident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. when a female motorist struck te male cyclist knocking him to the pavement near Artesia Boulevard an Felton Lane, according to Redondo Beach Police Lt. Chuck Prestia.

Emergency crews responded to the scene to find the cyclist unresponsive. The cyclist was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The female motorist remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Authorities concluded that drugs ad alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the incident.
