The accident happened around 5:30 pm on Bristol Street and Santa Clara Avenue. A 26 year old motorcyclist was heading south on Bristol Street when a northbound taxi cab attempted to turn left onto Santa Clara, causing a collision.
The motorcyclist, identified as 26 year old Reno Nicklaus Carothers, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. The driver that struck Reno remained at the scene, and authorities have ruled out alcohol and/or drugs at this time.
