RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (February 27, 2017) – Three people were killed and two are in serious condition after a small plane crashed into a home on Rhonda Road on Monday evening, according to a local news source. (map)
A Cessna 310, a six seating twin engine plane took off from the Riverside Municipal Airport around 4:40 pm with five people on board. Minutes after takeoff, witnesses saw the plane attempt a turn, and then suddenly go into a nose dive. The small plane then crashed into a home on Rhonda Road.
Three people on board the plane have been confirmed dead, and two females are reported to have survived the crash. The homeowners were not home at the time of the accident, and were not injured. The crash completely destroyed the house, and caused damage to two adjacent homes as well. The accident remains under open investigation at this time.
