“Investigation Ongoing”
RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA (March 1, 2017) – Three people were killed, including a male, a female, and a teenager, and two females were critically injured in a small plane crash on Monday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened late Monday afternoon, when a Cessna 310 that had just taken off from the Riverside Municipal airport carrying five people, abruptly nosedived into a home near the small airport for an unknown reason. Two of the women inside the plane were thrown from it during the collision, landing inside the home.
Nouri Jijazi, Danuta Hijazi, and Adine Farelas were all tragically pronounced dead after the accident. One of the women ejected from the plane was able to crawl out of the wreckage of the home, and was rushed to a hospital immediately. She has been identified as Sylvia Farelas, Adine Farelas’s mother. A second woman, Stacey Pierce, the daughter of Nouri and Danuta, suffered burns to 90% of her body, and was found under debris by firefighters and emergency personnel. She was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
