SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (February 26, 2017) – A head-on rollover collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 16 and Excelsior Road. (map)
A California fire SUV crashed head-on into a black sedan, causing the sedan to rollover and block the east and westbound lanes. Four people sustained injuries including a child who became trapped in one of the vehicles.
Ambulance and emergency crews arrived on scene and were able to assist the inured victims, including the injured child who was transported to UC Davis Children’s Hospital. One other injured person was taken to Kaiser Permanente Hospital for treatment. Police are still investigating the accident at this time.
