“Investigation Ongoing”
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS(December 19, 2016) – 53 year old Gilbert Villanueva was killed and another man was critically injured in an accident on Monday afternoon on College Street, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:45 pm at the intersection of College Street and Losoya Street. Two construction workers, one of whom was Gilbert Villanueva, were inside a box being lifted by a forklift up the side of a building at the intersection. The box tipped over, both men falling out and to the ground over 60 feet down. The box then landed on one of the men as well.
Gilbert Villanueva was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The other man was rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
