SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA (April 4, 2017) – A motorcyclist was involved in a highway accident on the Interstate 5 freeway north of E Street early Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The accident occurred at approximately 6:02 a.m. when it was reported that a motorcyclist was seen splitting lanes on the highway, according to CHP. The motorcyclist sustained injuries. However, the severity of those injuries are unknown. Rescues crews were dispatched to the scene. The motorcyclist was transported to UCSD Medical Center.
The specifics of the accident were not unknown as well as if there were any other vehicles involved in the accident. The No. 1, 2, and 3 lanes were closed due to the accident. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
