SAN TAN VALLEY, ARIZONA (October 18, 2017) – A major accident involving several commercial vehicles was reported on Ironwood Road on Wednesday morning, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened early Wednesday morning near the intersection of Ironwood Road and Germann Road in San Tan Valley. Two dump trucks, a semi truck, and possibly additional vehicles were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. The semi truck appeared to be jackknifed across the road, and both dump trucks had sustained major front end damages with one appearing to have sustained heavy drivers side damages as well.
The condition of all those involved in the accident is unknown at this time, but the injuries in the accident were described as major. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene to tend to all those injured in the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
