SELMA: Big Rig Involved in Hit and Run on State Route 99

SELMA, CALIFORNIA (December 1, 2017) – A semi truck was involved in a collision on State Route 99 and Mountain View Avenue on Friday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)

The accident happened around 6:25 am on the southbound side of State Route 99 (also known as Golden State Highway) near Mountain View Avenue. A big rig and a black Ford Expedition were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. The SUV sustained enough damage to require a tow truck to remove it from the scene.

At least one person sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The big rig was last seen heading southbound, and it is unknown at this time whether it was stopped by authorities or not. The accident remains under investigation, and HWG Law is still receiving updates about this collision.

“Police will gather evidence and conduct interviews with the drivers and witnesses to determine liability” said the attorneys from HWG Law. “Any injured party involved in an accident will have a bodily injury claim against the negligent driver who caused the accident.”
