TACOMA: Three Injured in DUI Crash on Pacific Avenue and South 108th Street

“Investigation Ongoing”

TACOMA, WASHINGTON (August 20, 2017) – Three were injured in a suspected DUI car accident on Pacific Avenue on Sunday morning, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:00 am at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and S. 108th Street. A female suspected of being under the influence was driving northbound on Pacific Avenue when she reportedly ran a red light, striking a Toyota SUV that was eastbound on 108th with a green light. The impact forced the Toyota SUV into a Honda before it overturned.

Two people in the Toyota were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, and one occupant of the Honda was also hospitalized with minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.

“It’s unfortunate that motorists under the influence disregard the negative effects that may ensue from driving under the influence. Drunk drivers continue to endanger the safety of all other drivers,” said the attorneys from HWG Law Firm, a car accident and personal injury law firm.
