“Helicopter Accident”
WHITE COUNTY, INDIANA (March 14, 2017) – A helicopter pilot was killed when he crashed while helping to install electric towers on Tuesday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 4:00 pm near the intersection of County Road 700 South and County Road 150 East. 53 year old Howard Y. Esterbrook, a subcontractor for EC Source, was piloting a small helicopter that was feeding wires through a tower when he crashed for an unknown reason.
Howard Y. Esterbrook was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The NTSB and the FAA are conducting an investigation into the crash at this time to determine cause and liability.
