“Head-On Accident”
YUBA CITY, CALIFORNIA (February 3, 2017) – Two people were injured in an accident on Highway 99 near Bogue Road on Friday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:02 am on Highway 99 near Bogue Road. 32 year old Puneet Rai was traveling northbound on Highway 99 when they veered into southbound traffic and crossed into the path of 32 year old Leanne Delafuente. The two vehicles, described as an SUV and a pickup truck, collided head-on.
Puneet Rai and Leanne Delafuente were both injured in the accident and had to be extricated from their vehicles by responding emergency personnel. Both drivers were rushed to Rideout ER with major injuries. The accident remains under investigation but initial reports indicate that neither alcohol or drugs were contributing factors.
